After the portable Macs login wallpaper pack [link] a bunch of people asked me to do some walls for the desktop Macs as well. Here they are.

Included are login wallpapers for the most recent iMac, the Mac mini and the Mac Pro. Resolutions range from 2560x1600 down to 1440x900, so hopefully it'll suit everybody's different screens. Like with the portables there's an aluminium-y wallpaper and a dark metal one as well as wallpapers without the Macs on them, but this time you'll also find a special edition wallpaper for each of the Macs which I think looks pretty awesome. (See preview.)

I haven't had the opportunity to try these on a Cinema display or an iMac's native resolution but I think the alignments should be all pretty exact. Please let me know if something is off when you try them out and I'll fix it ASAP.

UPDATED September 27th -09: Realigned iMac properly for the different resolutions.

How do I use these frickin' sweet wallpapers?
For 10.5 Leopard or later: First, go to /System/Library/CoreServices and create a backup of the file named DefaultDesktop.jpg. Then unzip the downloaded archive, select the wallpaper you want to use and rename it to DefaultDesktop.jpg. Copy your new DefaultDesktop.jpg to the CoreServices folder and replace the old one. Voilą!

Sorry about that, so many big resolutions had to go in here since desktop displays usually are pretty big and I preferred it this way rather than submitting a whole bunch of deviations. Send me a message and I'll e-mail you a custom zip bro.

Hi, I've been using your login wallpapers on my Mac Pro, 13' Macbook Pro & 13' white Macbook since you released them. Now I've upgraded to Lion! Any chance you could update your wallpapers to have the new lion textured wallpapers. If you can't, then if you have the PSD files, could you share those? Thank you. Love your work!
